Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage General Electric (GE) portable turntable and AM Radio - Model R475G. The plastic lid is removable, and inside is the turntable and radio control. Materials: Plastic, Metal. Color: Brown, Beige. There are two options for operation: there is a corded plug in one compartment on the bottom, and then in the other compartment there it can take 4 "D" batteries. We only tested the item by plugging it in - the radio definitely works, and the turntable definitely rotates as it should. There is no needle, so we could not actually test the turntable out - for this reason, it is being sold "as-is".
Measurements: Including the handle, approx. 11" wide x 11" deep x 3.25" tall.
Condition: Cosmetically it shows some light wear, but is in overall good condition - there are some light superficial scratches / edge scuffs here and there, but nothing too bad. We did not find any chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. It could definitely benefit from a gentle cleaning. The part where the needle attaches to the tonearm appears to be loose (see photos), and there is no needle present. When tested, the platter does spin as it is supposed to. Both of the compartments on the underside have their lids which work perfectly fine, and the compartments are free from rust, oxidation, corrosion, etc. Being that we've been unable to fully test the turntable, this item is being sold "as-is". If you have questions, we encourage them prior to purchase, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
