Sorry, this item has sold.

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage floor-to-ceiling tension pole lamp designed by Raymond Lowey for Stiffel. Circa '50s / '60s. The shades are ribbed metal, and they are gold in color. Each shade has a rectangular wooden handle attached to it (see photos). The shades attach to the central vertical column, and they are able to rotate into various positions. There is an on/off rotary knob switch located on the vertical upright column which provides the lamp with three-way functionality: 1.) upper two shades light, 2.) just the bottom shade lights, and 3.) all three light up at the same time. The metal shades are pierced, which allows for light to shine out of the small holes on the surfaces. No labels attached.

Measurements: The photos accompanying the listing show the tension lamp set up with an 8' ceiling. It still has another few inches in the spring if the area for use is slightly taller. Each of the three shades measures approx. 9" long x 5" in diameter (measured across the opening). The wooden handles on each of the shades measures approx. 4.5" long. The shades are set at staggering heights - from bottom to top - 44", 53" and 62".

Condition: Overall it's in very good condition - there are no dents, dings, rust, oxidation, etc. There is some minor gold color loss to the pierced metal shades (see photo), but nothing all that bad. The brass at the very top and bottom does show some tarnishing, but again, it isn't a deal breaker in our opinion. The fixture is in working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the fixture prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we courage them prior to purchase - thank you!

PLEASE NOTE: This lamp will be partially disassembled for shipping.
