Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a beautiful pair of vintage sculptural wooden tables lamps. Circa '60s. Each lamp contains a carved sculptural wooden component (that we believe to be walnut) at the center of the base, which is constructed of three bowed out wooden elements which vary in thickness from top to bottom (see photos). The top and bottom of this section are accented with brass accents where the wood elements meet. The very bottom of the base is wood. The lamps each have a standard on/off rotary knob switch at the socket which is used to turn the lamps on and off. We are uncertain of the maker - no tags or labels visibly present. There may be something under the felt on the bottom of the bases, but we didn't attempt to remove it. They're very well constructed and look great! They'll make a fantastic addition to any modern interior setting!
Measurements: Each lamp stands approx. 36.5" tall (from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 6.5" wide x 6.5" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 28.25" high. The sculptural wood portion of the base measures approx. 13" tall x 5" x 5". The bottom of the base at the very bottom measures approx. 6.5" in diameter.
Condition: Both lamps are in very good condition - there are no cracks, breaks, chips, repairs, etc. The wood components are in very nice shape with no problems to report. The brass accents are in great shape as well - no rust, oxidation, dents, dings, scratches, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it is in good condition on both lamps - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. The lamps are in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect prior to long-term use, just to be safe. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
