Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage ceramic table lamp with its original accompanying fiberglass shade. Circa '50s / '60s. Materials: Ceramic, Fiberglass. Colors: Green. We are uncertain as to the maker - it does not appear to be marked insofar as we've been able to detect. The lamp has a standard on/off toggle switch that is located at the socket.
Measurements: With the fiberglass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 21.25" tall. The ceramic base alone measures 10.25" tall x 8.5" wide x 3.75" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 13" high. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 10" tall x 12.25" wide x 12.25" deep. The opening at the top is approx. 7" x 7", and at the bottom approx. 12" x 12". The clear plastic finial is approx. 2" tall.
Condition: Very good condition. The ceramic base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shade could use a gentle cleaning, but is in overall nice shape - no burns tears, rips, holes, repairs, etc. A little bit of the lacing along the top of the shade has come undone, but the shade is still structurally solid. The holes are intact, so a simple re-lacing could be done, if desired. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp - there are no frays, splits or exposed / brittle wires. Aside from that, it is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the fixture prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, please ask them prior to purchasing, and we will get back in touch with you.
