ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage abstract expressionist oil painting done on stretched canvas by artist, Blumshay. Circa '50s. Colors: Multi-color. The canvas is framed within a thin edge wooden frame. It is signed in the lower right-hand corner of the canvas, as well as on the back side, and is dated '56 (see photos).
MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 21" wide x 15.5" tall.
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. There are two tiny flecks of paint missing (see photos), but certainly nothing that detracts from the overall appearance. They are rather insignificant, and have been left alone as the painting was acquired. There is a small amount of surface craquelure surrounding one of the flakes (see photos). The frame shows general signs of light wear that come with age and handling, but overall displays well and is solid. The frame needs a new wire stretched across the back. Currently there is a make-shift hanging apparatus of string taking its place. Balance due will be spread out over installment payments, one being due two weeks after the initial down-payment, and the final payment (which will include the listed shipping expenses) will be due two weeks after that.
