Vintage MCM Ceramic Pottery Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting 50s 60s Potters? Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a unique ceramic pottery lamp that dates back to the 50s. The ceramic base is shaped like the letter "U", with the top being open, and one front side projecting a little more forward than the back. The ceramic is a brownish color with raised chartreuse stipples throughout the front side, and it also has inscribed white lines throughout (see photos). The ceramic is mounted atop a wooden base. The lamp comes with its original finial, and it is adjustable (we've never run across one like it). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket for functionality. No signatures detected. We were told that it might be a Potters lamp, but we're not 100% certain. We do have another Potters lamp in our personal collection, and that one happens to be signed, while this one isn't. The surface application on this one strongly resembles that of the one we are keeping. No shade present - it'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own. It's a striking lamp that's suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 25.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the wooden base to the top of the finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 18.75" high. The ceramic portion of the base measures approx. 12.5" tall x 11" wide x 5" deep. The wood base at the bottom measures approx. 11" wide x 7" deep x 1.5" tall.

CONDITION: Very good condition. There is what appears to be a small "scratch" mark on the ceramic, as well as a dimple on the top surface of the ceramic (see photos). Neither look like actual damage up close - these both look like imperfections from when the lamp was produced. Aside from those small mentions, there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring has been professionally replaced as the original wiring was caput and unsafe for use. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As is the case with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
