ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage ceramic table lamp with its accompanying fiberglass shade designed by KRON. Circa '50s. The base is angular / geometric in design, and is black in color with some gray / gold colored accents (see photos). The shade is a beige fiberglass, and it has a random curvy black line design appearing on the surface (see photos). The lamp is signed "KRON" on the back side of the base towards where the cord emerges (see photo). It's a great period lamp that is suitable for any interior setting!
MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 30" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 10" wide x 10" deep. The distance that is measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket is 22" high. The ceramic portion of the base alone is 15" tall x 6" wide (measured at the bottom) x 6" deep. The fiberglass cone shade measures approx. 15" tall x 5" in diameter (top) x 10" in diameter (bottom).
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. The ceramic portion of the lamp is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, scratches, etc. The conical metal accent piece just below the socket shows color loss (see photos) - it can easily be touched up, or just left alone. The fiberglass shade shows a little bit of creasing towards the bottom edge (see photos) - it can be finessed with a little steam and some hot water - it didn't bother us, so we just left it alone. The shade has no rips, holes, tears, stains, burn marks, etc. Aside from those cosmetic mentions, the lamp displays well and is in working order. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it appears to be in good shape - there are no frays, splits or exposed areas. As is the case with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
