ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage brutalist abstract metal wall hanging by artist, Carole Roberts. Circa '70s. Materials: Torch cut metal. The sculpture is constructed of various pieces of flat torch cut metal that are set at variable depths from one another, giving the art a sense of depth when hanging on a wall. There are two round hanging loops on the back. This wall hanging can hang either vertically or horizontally. It is signed by the artist on the back side of one of the metal pieces (see photos).
MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 41" tall x 12.5" wide x 4" deep (maximum variable depth).
CONDITION: Good vintage condition - the metal pieces show some light surface wear that is consistent with age and handling. When hanging on a wall, you don't see any of it. There also appears to be a small spot weld on the back side on one of the vertical rods that was repaired at one point in time. It's on the back, so it isn't visible from the front - just being mentioned for accuracy.
