Vintage MCM Abstract Ceramic Pottery Wood Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting 70s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing vintage ceramic pottery lamp with accompanying cloth shade. Circa '70s. The ceramic portion of the base is highly textured (see photos), and it has an abstract design along the surface perimeter. The pottery portion rests atop a solid wood base. The shade is cloth, and beige in color - it appears to be more contemporary, but it goes well. We're not sure if it was the shade that was meant to be with the lamp. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket. It does not appear to be signed insofar as we've been able to detect. It's definitely of nicer quality - it's not flimsy, as it has a nice weight to it. Perfect for all interior settings!

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 24" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the finial) x 15" wide (diameter of lower opening of shade) x 15" deep (again, diameter of the lower opening of the shade). The distance from the bottom of the bases to the light socket is approx. 17.25" high. The ceramic pottery portion of the lamp is approx. 8.75" in diameter. The wooden base measures approx. 8" in diameter (measured from the bottom of the base). The cloth shade measures approx. 10" tall, with the top opening being 13" in diameter, and the bottom opening being 15" in diameter.

CONDITION: Very good condition. The pottery portion of the base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The cloth shade is in nice shape as well - no rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring may have been updated at one point in time - it appears to problem free - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
