Vintage MCM Atomic REMBRANDT Lamps Mid Century Modern Lighting 50s Black Beige

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice pair of vintage REMBRANDT atomic era table lamps. Circa '50s. Materials: Ceramic, Wire, Metal, Brass. Colors: Black with beige squiggles. Each lamp comes with a milk glass diffuser shade. The lamps have standard on/off rotary knob switches at the sockets for functionality. Both lamps still retain their original Rembrandt labels on the outsides of the socket cups (see photos). There are no shades present - it'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own. These are great lamps that will make the perfect addition to any interior setting.

MEASUREMENTS: Each lamps stands approx. 27" tall. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 22.25" high. The milk glass diffuser shade that rests inside the socket cup measures approx. 6" in diameter (opening). The black disc just below the socket is approx. 5.5" in diameter. It is separated by eight (8) 11" wires that connect it to the bullet shaped base at the bottom. The bullet shape at the bottom is approx. 6.5" tall x 5.25" in diameter (measured from the bottom).

CONDITION: Both lamps are in good vintage condition. There are a few cosmetic flaws which we'll mention here. First and foremost, there appears to be a completely stable, tight split on one of the bullet-shaped bases (see photos). It almost looks like a seam of sorts as it is perfectly straight (and doesn't go all the way through the material). As mentioned, it is completely stable and doesn't appear to affect anything. It is also off on the side towards the back so it is not really visible unless you are looking for it. Next mention - the brass socket cups show discoloration / tarnishing (see photos). Once shades are put into place atop the milk glass diffusers, this discoloration will be hidden from sight. Aside from those two mentions, they could just use a gentle cleaning, but do display nicely as they are in their current state. The electrical wiring looks original with no issues to report - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamps are fully functioning, and working as intended. As with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
