Vintage MCM Wood Brass Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Majestic Guggenheim 50s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage table lamp complete with its original fiberglass shade. Circa '50s. Maker: We believe this to be either Majestic or Guggenheim. Materials: Brass, Black Lacquered Wood, Fiberglass. The shade is beige in color, and it has an applied painted design on its surface. The lamp has an on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. The underside of the base at the very bottom is covered in old gray felt - there may or may not be a label underneath - we have not attempted to peel it back as it is in place. It's a great period lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 28.75" tall x 19" wide x 10" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 21" high. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 10.25" tall x 19" wide x 10" deep. The black lacquered base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 11.75" wide x 6.5" deep.

CONDITION: Both the lamp base and shade are in very good, all-original condition. The base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The brass components show a gentle patina that is consistent with age. The shade is free from rips, holes, tears, creases, burn marks, scratches, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and is intact. The wiring is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. All-in-all, it's a great floor lamp that is ready to be enjoyed!
