ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage table lamp that dates back to the 50s. Materials: Acrylic (clear and white), metal (brass) and Fiberglass. In addition to the double tiered fiberglass shade, there is a matching fiberglass insert that is framed within the acrylic portion of the base (see photos). At the bottom of the lamp, just above the round brass base, there is a small built-in planter off to the side which can accommodate a very small faux plant (again, see photos). The lamp shade rests freely atop a milk glass diffuser shade. We are uncertain as to who manufactured the lamp - there are no labels or tags present. It reminds us of Moss lamps, but we're not certain it is actually a Moss lamp. Either way, it's a unique lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 28" tall. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 22.5" high. The acrylic portion of the base measures approx. 18" tall x 7.5" wide (measured across the top). The double tiered fiberglass shade measures approx. 8" tall, with the larger upper tier being 17" in diameter, and the lower tier being 14" in diameter. The small acrylic planter off to the side measures approx. 1.5" x 1.5" x 3" deep.
CONDITION: The lamp is in good condition. The acrylic is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. It does have a few small, superficial scratch marks, but nothing that we'd consider a deal-breaker. The brass components of the lamp, mainly the base and around the light socket, show signs of tarnishing from age (see photos). The fiberglass shade is in great shape - no rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, burn marks, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and is intact. The wiring is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - please ask any questions that you may have, and we will respond back to you in timely manner.
