Vintage MCM Floor Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting Atomic Era Black Gold 1950s

$425.00

Shipping to United States: $85.00

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage atomic era floor lamp. Circa '50s. Materials: Metal. Colors: Black with Gold paint drizzle. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket. We are uncertain as to the maker of the lamp - there are no labels or tags present. There is no shade present - it'll be left up to the purchaser of the lamp to provide their own shade.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 53.25" tall. The six wire leaf-shaped projections just beneath the socket cup measure approx. 2" each. The round metal orb towards the lower section of the lamp measures approx. 3.5" in diameter. The curly metal spokes that reside between the bottom of the orb and the top of the round base at the bottom of the lamp measure approx. 10.5" long. The round metal base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 11.5" in diameter.

CONDITION: The lamp is in good condition for its age. There is some scattered black paint loss here and there, but nothing that can't be touched up easily (see photos) - it's mainly on the metal receptacle that houses the light socket, and a little bit on the vertical upright rod. Aside from that, there are no dents, dings, breaks, repairs, etc. - just normal light wear that is consistent with age and handling. The electrical wiring appears to be in good condition with no issues to report - no breaks, splits, exposed or fragile areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - please ask any questions that you may have, and we will respond back to you in timely manner.
