ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an awesome vintage double-tiered fiberglass lamp shade. Circa '50s. Materials: Fiberglass, Metal. The fiberglass is an off-white color, and is scalloped in design. Throughout it on the exterior surface are black and gold filaments randomly scattered throughout, as well as black stars (see photos). We are uncertain as to the maker.
MEASUREMENTS: The shade measures approx. 10" tall, with the top tier being approx. 15" across (maximum width), and it tapers down to 9" in diameter. The bottom tier is approx. 19.5" across (maximum width).
CONDITION: Decent vintage condition, but not perfect. The fiberglass material has several stable crack lines in the material (see photos). Fortunately, they are masked really well by the filaments and stars, so they aren't really noticeable unless you are specifically looking for them. We've included close up photos of them, both with the shade illuminated and in natural daylight to see how they look. In our opinion, they aren't too bad. This type of fiberglass material was notorious for getting these types of imperfections over the years, and it's coming more and more difficult to find these shades in any condition these days. There is a scuff mark on the fiberglass that should come out with a gentle cleaning - we did not attempt to clean the shade in any manner. Lastly, there is a small crack / missing chip to the fiberglass along the upper edge of the lower tier (see photos). The lacing is fully intact, and is structurally sound. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, please message us and we'll respond back to you.
