ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage floor lamp with built-in round table that was designed by Gerald Thurston for Stiffel. Circa '60s. Materials: Brass, Acrylic, Metal. The lamp body and legs are constructed of brass, while the round built-in table is clear acrylic. The lamp has three standard sockets at the top, and the original STIFFEL label is still attached (see photos). There is an on/off rotary knob switch that is located on the underside of the sockets. The lamp does not come with a shade - it will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own.
MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 50.5" tall (measured from the ground surface to the top of the final attachment). The round clear acrylic table measures approx. 15" in diameter, and it is approx. 22.25" high. The distance between each of the legs is approx. 9.75".
CONDITION: Good vintage condition, but not perfect. The brass shows spotty darkening spots / tarnishing (see photos). We have not done anything in a manner to clean or polish the lamp, but it will probably help a bit. Aside from that, it is in cosmetically nice shape - no dents, dings, breaks, repairs. The acrylic table has some superficial scratches, but nothing overly deep or glaring. Again, we haven't taken to cleaning it. While the electrical wiring appears to be in good shape, the on/off rotary switch seems to be loose and is a little sensitive when it comes to turning the lamp on - one has to turn it slowly to get the bulbs to light up. For safety, we'd recommend having it looked it. It's probably only something that needs tightening, but we're not electricians, so we'd suggest having someone who knows what they're doing to look at it. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
