ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage post-modern floor lamp that was designed by Frederick Cooper. Circa '70s / '80s. Color: White. The lamp is made of metal, and is fully adjustable. The two vertical rods can be raised or lowered independently of each other, and the shades can also rotate and pivot separately at their attachment points, thus giving this floor lamp countless configurations. Each shade has its own separate on/off rotary knob switch on the top surface of the shade. There is an original blue UL sticker label on the inside of one of the shades (see photos). This is a great versatile lamp that is suitable for any interior setting.
MEASUREMENTS: With the vertical rods holding the shades extended to their full height, the lamp stands approx. 63" tall (shades directed downwards) x 9" wide. The vertical rods can be lowered to a height of 40" tall (again, with both shades positioned facing downward). Each shade is approx. 7" tall x 4.5" in diameter at the opening. The round metal base at the very bottom of the lamp is approx. 10" in diameter.
CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good condition with only age appropriate wear. The metal and shades are free from dents, dings, breaks, repairs. There are some minor scratches here and there, but nothing the really interferes with the display of the lamp (see photos). The vertical brass rods show some faint areas of wear / color loss from being raised and lowered, but again, nothing major. The electrical wiring appears to be in great shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. PLEASE NOTE: There are two electrical cords with this lamp - one for each side. There is a small hole where the cords would exit the lamp base all the rear perimeter of the base. We are not certain why they aren't going through that small exit channel, but our guess is the wiring may have been updated at one point in time during the lamp's history. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
