Wild + Crazy Vintage MCM 50s Plaster Lamp Mid Century Modern Atomic Era (As-Is)

$450.00

Shipping to United States: $70.00

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale one wild and crazy atomic era table lamp. Circa '50s. Materials: Plaster. Colors: Multi-color. The lamp has areas of plaster that look like faux mosaic (see photos). There are three light sockets - one main, and two smaller decorative set at slightly staggered height. The lamp as a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is embedded into the plaster base. It allows for three-way functionality: one twist lights the main socket, a second twist lights the two smaller decorative sockets simultaneously, and a third twist lights them all up at one. The lamp does not appear to be signed anywhere on the base. It'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shade.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 24" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket) x 11.5" wide x 5.75" deep.

CONDITION: These lamps have become very difficult to come by in any condition. This particular lamp is in good, but not perfect, condition. Many of the flaws are surface / cosmetic, so they can probably be restored by someone who has the skill set. First off, there are several hairline crack marks to the plaster. All appear to be very stable, and aren't too noticeably visible, but they are there (see photos). There are also a few small, shallow chips to the plaster (again, see photos). Nothing too major, but we are pointing them out for accuracy. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is free from having any issues - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. Everything is in working order as can be seen from the photos. As is the case with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
