Vintage MCM DURACREST Toaster Oven Chrome Plastic Mid Century Modern Appliance 50s 60s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage DURACREST 4-slot toaster oven. Circa '50s / '60s. Materials: Chrome, Metal, Plastic. The top features four slots for bread or whatever you're looking to toast. Both the front and back panels have an incised atomic starburst pattern (see photos). It's a great piece, and they seldom come around in such nice condition. It's suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: Including the built-in black plastic handles, the toaster measures approx. 15.5" wide x 5" deep x 6.5" tall.

CONDITION: Very good condition. There is one very small faint discoloration mark on the top of the toaster in between two adjust toast slots (see photo). It's really hard to see, but it is there and is being mentioned for accuracy. Aside from that, the toaster is in great shape - no rust, oxidation, scratches, repairs, etc. The wiring appears to be original, and it's in great shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. It looks like the toaster was only ever kept on display, and not actually used. We did plug it in, and it does heat up nicely. As with all vintage electric items, we always strongly caution having the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
