Vintage MCM Adjustable Gooseneck Brass Desk Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting 60s Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage gooseneck desk lamp. Circa '60s. Materials: Metal, Brass. Color: Gold. The lamp shade is attached to the end of a gooseneck stalk, which allows it to be fully adjustable, and it lends itself to various configurations. The brass metal shade is evenly pierced, which allows light to shine out of the small holes created on the surface. The lamp features an on/off push button switch on the base for functionality. We are uncertain as to the manufacturer. There is a blue UL sticker label on the inside of the shade (see photos). It's a great little lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the bendable gooseneck stalk in its full upright position, and the shade pointed outward to the side, the lamp stands approx. 19.5" tall. With the shade pointed downward, the lamp measures approx. 8" wide. The shade alone measures approx. 7" long x 6" in diameter (at the opening). The round brass base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 5.75" in diameter.

CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good condition - there are no dents, dings, rust, oxidation, repairs, etc. There are a few very small superficial scratch marks on the surface of the round base, but nothing that we'd deem objectionable. The gooseneck stalk holds its position firmly, so there are no issues with it collapsing or not being stable. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is free from having any issues - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. Everything is in working order as can be seen from the photos. As is the case with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe.
