ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a great vintage atomic era fish table lamp. Circa '50s. Features two koi fish facing one another. Materials: Plaster, Brass, Metal. Colors: Black, Pink. The lamp features two brass sputnik accents (see photos). There is one standard light socket, as well as two smaller decorative sockets on either side just above the fish tails. The lamp has a switch that is embedded into the side of the plaster base, and it provides for three-way functionality: one twist lights up the main socket, a second twist lights up just the two smaller decorative bulb sockets, and a third twist allows everything to be lit simultaneously. We are uncertain as to the maker of the lamp - there are no labels, tags or signatures present. It will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shade as there currently isn't one present.
MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 35.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 18" wide x 6.5" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 24.75" high. The plaster porition of the lamp alone is approx. 13.5" tall x 18" wide x 6.5" deep.
CONDITION: Good condition. The plaster is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There are some hints of red and blue in discreet spots, so we're uncertain as to whether or not this may have been repainted at one point in time - if is, it was probably done a long time ago. The brass metal components are a nice shape - no rust, oxidation, etc. The wiring appears to be original and doesn't seem to have any notable issues - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Being sold "AS-IS", and "AS-DESCRIBED" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
