Vintage Black Gold Bakelite Dentists' Supply Co. of NY 11-Drawer Cabinet Storage

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage eleven drawer bakelite storage cabinet manufactured by The Dentist's Supply Co. of New York. Materials: Bakelite. Color: Black, Gold. Some of the slide out drawers contain inside spacers to compartmentalize the drawers, while others do not. The top surface has The Dentist's Supply Co. of New York emblem (see photos). Originally intended for the storage of small dental instruments, but can really be used for whatever you'd like.

NOTE: Please pardon the white / gray reflections on the cabinet exterior surface. The cabinet is solid black with gold accents on the pulls.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 14.5" tall x 14.5" wide x 12" deep.

CONDITION: Decent condition, with scattered age related wear throughout. There are no visible chips or cracks that we were able to detect. The insides of the drawers show wear and could benefit from a proper cleaning. Some of the drawers have what appears to be a grayish colored material on the surface - we are not sure what this is or why it is there - we have not attempted to clean it off, so we are uncertain as to whether or not it will come clean. We examined the drawers from the undersides in these areas, and there don't appear to be any cracks. We were thinking perhaps it was some sort of filler perhaps for cracks that may have started to form in the trays, but beyond that, we're uncertain. The drawers slide in and out with ease, and function properly. Some of the gold accents on the pulls have worn away, but can easily be touched up.
