Vintage MCM WITCO Bull Matador Carved Wood Wall Hanging Mid Century Wall Art 60s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage carved wood bull fighter wall hanging that was manufactured by WITCO. Circa '60s. Features a carved wooden bull attached to a wood-like board that is covered in a peach-colored velveteen material (see photos). The very top of this wall hanging features a spear that is threaded through two holes along the tops of the upright wooden vertical bars. The center of the spear is covered in the same velveteen material. The bull still retains the two metal prongs sticking out the dorsal side of its neck. No signatures detected, but it's definitely a WITCO piece. There are two metal hanging tabs attached to the back side of the wall hanging. It's ready to be enjoyed in a new home.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 35.5" tall x 60" wide (spear at the top). The velveteen covered frame that the bull rests on is approx. 40.5" wide x 23" tall. The bull itself measures approx. 36" wide x 15" tall x 1.5" thick.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition, but not perfect. The bull has several scratches on the surface that some stain should help to conceal (see photos). There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The peach-colored velveteen backing is structurally in fine shape, but it has an old odor to it - we'd recommend swapping it out, or giving it a good cleaning. Said material is free from rips, holes, tears, stains, etc. There are some old moisture marks towards the bottom on the back side of the board (again, see photo). Displays well.
