Vintage MCM Paintings Forced Perspective Wood Frames Mid Century MCM Signed 50s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a pair of super cool abstract style still life paintings framed within forced perspective wooden frames. Circa '50s. Colors: Various (see photos). One of the paintings is simply signed "Nicholas" along the bottom edge, while the other does not appear to be signed (see photos), but they clearly appear to be done by the same person. The paintings appear to be oil done on a cardboard material.

MEASUREMENTS: The frames measure approx. 13.25" tall (long side) x 10" wide (short side) x 14" wide x 2.75" deep. The visible paintings, excluding the frames, each measure approx. 5.5" tall x 7.5" wide.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition. The frames are structurally solid, and in very nice shape given their age - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. There's just a small amount of surface wear that one would expect from age and handling, but nothing bad at all (see photos). The paintings show some light wear and spotting (see photos). On one of the frames, there are what looks like some faint ink marks from a pen on the white border that directly surrounds the painting (see photo); it can most likely be touched up quite easily - it didn't bother us, so we just left it alone. Each frame has a wire hanging mechanism on the back side for hanging / display purposes. They've been well cared for by their previous owner. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described".
