Vintage 50s Thurston Lightolier Glass Brass Atomic Era Ceiling Light Fixture Lamp

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage ceiling mounted atomic era light fixture that was designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier. Circa '50s. Materials: Brass, Metal, Glass. Colors: Gold, White. The fixture features a round glass panel that is textured on the top side, and smooth on the bottom side. It has a gold starburst / atomic design to it. The glass plate rests atop a round metal band that is attached to a gold colored pierced metal shade that goes through the center of the glass. The original Lightolier label is still attached to the ceiling canopy (see photos). The fixture is in fully working condition - it just needs to be hardwired into place by an electrician. It's a great fixture that is suitable for all interior settings!

MEASUREMENTS: The fixture is approx. 9" tall x 11" in diameter (glass).

CONDITION: Very good vintage condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, dents, rust, oxidation, repairs, etc. There is some scattered gold color loss on the pierced metal cone, but nothing drastic - it can easily be touched up or just left alone. The glass does not appear to have any issues - it's in great shape! The wiring appears to be original, and is in good shape. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". PLEASE NOTE: The glass will be safely removed from the fixture, and it will be bubble wrapped separately to ensure a safe delivery.
