ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage hanging ceiling light fixture that was manufactured by PRESCOLITE. Circa '60s. It simply features a round glass sphere that hangs down from the ceiling canopy. The fixture still retains its original PRESCOLITE label attached to the metal plate that inserts into the top of the glass shade (see photos). It's a great fixture that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: The spherical glass shade measures approx. 16" in diameter. There is approx. 23" of electrical cord between the plate that attached to the shade and the ceiling canopy.
CONDITION: Good condition - the glass shade is free from chip, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There are scattered white paint dots on the glass from when a previous owner must've painted the ceiling from which this was hanging - they will come off with a little elbow grease - we just left it alone in the condition in which it was acquired. The metal plate that attaches to the top opening of the shade shows some scattered surface rust in spots - it can easily be removed and repainted, or just left alone. The fixture is in working condition, it just needs to be hard-wired back into place. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
