Vintage MCM Yellow LAUREL Gooseneck Floor Lamp Mid Century Modern 60s UFO Saucer Lighting

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage UFO / Saucer gooseneck floor lamp that was manufactured by the Laurel Lighting Company. Circa '60s. Materials: Metal. Color: Yellow. The lamp has an on/off rotary knob switch that is located on the outside of the round saucer shade. The lamp still retains a good portion of its original Laurel label on the underside of the shade (see photo). It's a great lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the gooseneck stem positioned in the fully upright position, the lamp stands approx. 59" tall. With the gooseneck stem bent so that the shade can positioned in the downward position, the lamp stands approx. 49" tall. The shade is approx. 12" in diameter, while the round metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 10" in diameter.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition. There are a few small faint superficial scratches on the round base (see photos) - none of which we'd deem deal breakers - they are only being mentioned for accuracy. Towards the bottom of the central cylinder there are also some faint discoloration / tarnish marks (see photo). Aside from that, just some normal light wear that is consistent with age and handling. The gooseneck stem works well and functions properly without losing its tautness. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and does not have any issues - no splits, frays, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
