Vintage MCM Atomic Pink Ceramic Lamps Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern 1950s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing pair of vintage atomic era table lamps with accompanying double-tiered fiberglass shades. Circa '50s. Materials: Ceramic, Brass, Fiberglass. Each lamps looks like an atomic flower. The bases are constructed of a pink ceramic with a white paint splatter overlay which gives those portions of the lamps texture. There are brass accept pieces surrounding the upper ceramic orbs, and they give the lamps an atomic floral appearance. The matching fiberglass shades are double-tiered, and beige in color with a thin gold and brown paint splatter effect randomly throughout. Each lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket for functionality. We are uncertain as to the maker of the lamps - there are no labels or tags present. They're simply awesome, and will make a welcome addition to any interior setting.

MEASUREMENTS: Each lamp stands approx. 31.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial. The distance from the bottom of the base to the top of the shade is approx. 28.5" high. The light socket is approx. 21" high from the bottom of the base. The pink ceramic orb is approx. 7" round, while the pink portion below that is approx. 8" tall x 4.5" wide x 4.5" deep. The round brass base at the bottom of each lamp is approx. 7.75" in diameter. The double-tiered fiberglass shades are approx. 9.5" tall, with the larger, upper tier measuring approx. 17" in diameter, and the smaller, lower tier measuring approx. 12" in diameter.

CONDITION: Overall, with the exception of some age related tarnishing and discoloration to the round brass bases, both lamps are in very good condition. The ceramic portions are free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, scratches, etc. The brass accent components are free from dents, dings, rust, oxidation, etc. The fiberglass shades are in immaculate condition - no rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, burn marks, etc. The lacing appears to be original, and it is intact on both lamps. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamps are both in working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe. PLEASE NOTE: The lamps and shades are LARGE and FRAGILE. As such, they will ship in two separate parcels - one will contain the bases, and the other will contain the shades. Both packages will be carefully tended to, and they will both be insured for the full amount of the sale.
