ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage metal tripod fiberglass shaded lamp that dates back to the atomic era. Circa '50s. Materials: Fiberglass, Metal. The rounded top saucer shade attaches to the framework of the bottom portion of the lamp by three metal hooks (see photos). The fiberglass is a beige color with random brown, black and green paint splatter designs on the surface (see photos). There is an on/off rotary knob switch that is located just beneath the socket towards the bottom of the lamp. The socket is surrounded by matching fiberglass, and it forms a cone around the socket. It is laced to the metal framework of the lamp. We are uncertain as to the maker / designer - there are no labels or tags present. It's a great lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: With the saucer shade in place, the lamp stands approx. 13.5" tall x 12" wide x 12" deep.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition with very light wear that is commensurate with age and use. The fiberglass is free from having rips, holes, tears, burn marks, repairs, etc. It could possibly benefit from a gentle cleaning - we left it as it was acquired without cleaning it in any manner. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order, and displays nicely! As with all vintage lighting, we always suggest having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, please message us and we'll respond back to you.
