ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice adjustable vintage floor lamp with fluted milk glass shades. Circa '50s / '60s. It features three sockets that are set at varying heights. The shades are fully adjustable at their connection points - they can rotate side-to-side, as well as up and down. The lamp has an on/off switch located on the central vertical column, and it provides for three-way functionality: one twist will light up one socket, and second twist will light up the remaining two independent of the first, and a third and final twist will light them all up at once. We are uncertain as to the maker / manufacturer - no labels or tags remain. It's a great lamp that will complement any modern interior setting.
MEASUREMENTS: With the shades all pivoted in the downward direction, the lamp stands approx. 65" tall x 12" wide x 12" deep. Each shade, including the wooden finials, measures approx. 14" long. The wooden finials themselves are each approx. 4.75" long. The fluted glass alone measures 7" tall x 4.25" wide x 4.25" deep. The shades are set at slightly staggered heights - their attachment points to the vertical column, starting from lowest to highest from the round base at the bottom: 43.5" high, 51.5" high, and lastly 59.5" high. The round brass metal base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 11" in diameter.
CONDITION: The lamp is in good condition for its age. There are some cosmetic things which we'll mention here. First off, the round metal base has some dimples, dents and scratches. It feels somewhat malleable and can probably be pushed back into shade from the underside of the base - we didn't bother isn't it wasn't an issue for us, but it's probably worth a try. Next, one of the wood finials has a small tight crack (see photo) - it is completely stable, and isn't overly visible, but it is being mentioned for accuracy. Lastly, the vertical brass extension that attaches to the round base has some spotty tarnishing to it. We did not attempt to clean or polish the lamp in any manner - it is being presented for sale exactly how it was acquired. The glass could use a cleaning, but it is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. Displays nicely and is ready to be enjoyed in a new home. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" (please view all photos as they constitute part of the item description). We encourage questions prior to purchasing, and we will respond back in a timely manner. All sales are final.
