ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic era table lamp with accompanying fiberglass shades. Circa '50s. Possibly manufactured by either Majestic or Guggenheim - there are no labels or tags present. The black colored metal boomerang accent piece, along with the wedge-shaped base, are metal, not wood. The fiberglass shades are an ivory color, and when you use colored light bulbs to illuminate the lamp, the results are fantastic! The shades are set at slightly staggered heights, and they are held in place by round metal tightener discs (see photo). Each socket has its own rotary knob switch for functionality. It's simply a terrific lamp, and is suitable for all interior settings!
MEASUREMENTS: With the shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 29" tall x 28" wide x 13.5" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light sockets is approx. 24" high (upper socket) x 19" (lower socket). The fiberglass shade measures 7.5" tall x 14" wide x 13.5" deep. The metal, wedge-shaped base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 9.5" wide x 5" deep x 2.75" tall (at its tallest point). The black metal boomerang accent piece measures approx. 8.5" wide x 8.5" tall.
CONDITION: Overall, the lamp is in nice condition - no bends, dents, dings, etc. There is some general light surface wear that is consistent with age and handling. The brass shows some color loss in areas (see photos). We have not attempted to clean or polish the lamp in any manner. The fiberglass panels were destroyed when we got the lamp, so we had them professionally re-outfitted with new fiberglass panels (see photos). We used the original metal frames for the repair which were still in great shape. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed / brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As is the case with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, please message us and we'll respond back to you.
