ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage tripod table lamp that was designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier. Circa '50s / '60s. Materials: Brass, Wood, Metal, Plastic and a Cloth Shade. The lamp has three (3) ceramic sockets for regular sized lightbulbs. There is an on/off rotary knob switch located just below the sockets which provides for three-way functionality of the lamp. No tags or labels present. It's a great lamp with a classic design that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 24" tall x 17" wide x 17" deep. Each of the three legs is approx. 9" apart from each other. The wooden dowel accents on each of the legs is approx. 7.5" long. The shade is approx. 6.5" tall x 16" in diameter (top) x 17" in diameter (bottom). The round metal reflector disc that attaches above the sockets is approx. 14" in diameter, while the round white plastic portion of the shade the rests below the sockets is approx. 12" in diameter.

CONDITION: The lamp is in very good, all-original condition. The brass metal framework of the base is in great shape - no rust, oxidation, bends, breaks, repairs, etc. The wooden dowel accent pieces on the legs are also in great shape - no chips, cracks breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The shade, while original, does have some discoloration marks and some areas where there is faint moisture areas (see photos). The framework is in fine shape, so if one wanted to switch out the textile material, that could be done with relative ease. The plastic disc that rests below the light sockets has some mildly misshapen areas due to excessively hot light bulbs that were used at one point in the lamps lifespan - they actually aren't too bad, but alas, they are there. One has to really be looking for them to notice. Most of the times these are missing altogether, or are severely melted and/or cracked. Aside from that, everything appears to be working as it should. The electrical wiring is in good shape with no issues to report - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed electrician prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
