ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage oil painting done on hard artist board by St. Louis artist, Stella Perlmutter. Circa '60s. She was of member of the St. Louis Artist Guild. Theme: Fantasy / Circus. There's a lot going on in this painting - animals, ice cream cones, clowns and figural circus acts on swings (see photos). Colors: Multi-color. The painting is signed by the artist in the lower left-hand corer of the canvas board (see photo), and it is framed within a vintage wooden frame. There is a wire hanging mechanism along the verso for hanging / display purposes.
MEASUREMENTS: Including the frame, it measures approx. 29.5" wide x 17.5" tall. The visible artwork, excluding the frame a border textile matting, measures approx. 23.25" wide x 11.25" tall.
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. The painting itself is free from hanging any issues - no breaks, bends, creases, stains, repairs, etc. The wooden surround frame is a little loose at the corners where the pieces join together. A previous owner applied an adhesive tape to the back to try to give it some extra support. We think a few finishing nails should be used to sure it up. We left it as it was acquired. The textile border matting as a few very small discoloration marks - we did not attempt to clean or treat them in any manner. Displays nicely and is ready to be enjoyed! Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, please message us and we'll respond back to you in a timely manner.
