ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage clown oil painting done on canvas board by artist, Alice Maxson. Circa '60s. Colors: Multi-color. The painting shows subtle texture throughout. It is framed within a vintage wooden frame, and there is a wire draped across the verso for hanging purposes. It is signed and dated (1965) by the artist in the lower left-hand corner of the canvas board (see photos). Nice execution on this painting, and it is suitable for all interior settings.
MEAUSUREMENTS: Including the frame, approx. 19" wide x 23" tall.
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. The painting itself only shows gentle signs of wear that are commensurate with age and handling - no rips, holes, tears, creases, repairs, etc. The matting material that directly borders the painting does show signs throughout of old moisture marks - not sure it they'll come out or not - we have not made any attempt to clean it. The frame itself is structurally sound and displays nicely. Balance due will be spread out over installment payments, one being due two weeks after the initial down-payment, and the final payment (which will include the listed shipping expenses) will be due two weeks after that.
