ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage abstract shapes / geometric illustration. Circa '70s. Materials; Ink, Paper. Colors: Multi-color. The artwork is framed behind protective glass, and is encased in a vintage wooden frame. While it is not visibly signed on the front, the paper lining on the back has the artist's name and date (Vernon B. Shanley, 1978) - please see photos. There is a wire hanging mechanism on the verso for hanging. It's a nice original piece of art that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: Including the frame, approx. 16.5" tall x 12.5" wide. The paper that the illustration is done on, excluding the frame, measures approx. 10" tall x 7" wide.
CONDITION: The artwork itself appears to be in good condition - no rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, etc. The matting surround the artwork shows traces of discoloration from possible moisture - we'd recommend swapping out it out for some new matting. The frame is structurally solid, and intact. The paper covering on the back is old - shows traces of moisture and it has a rip running through it - again, we'd recommend replacing it - quick and inexpensive fix. Displays well, and is ready to be enjoyed in a new setting.
