Vintage MCM Table Lamp Burlap Shade Mid Century Modern Lighting 50s 60s Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool vintage atomic era table lamp with accompanying shade. Circa '50s / '60s. The base is constructed of a hard cardboard-type upside down cone that is painting a beige color. Just below that are a series of six (6) metal accent pieces that give the lamp its atomic vibe. The shade is oval in shape, and the exterior is covered in a burlap material (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off toggle switch at the socket which is used for functionality. There are no labels or tags present - we are uncertain of the maker. It is a great lamp that is suitable for use in all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp measures approx. 27.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp) x 16" wide x 10" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 20.5" high. The cone portion of the base measures approx. 10" tall x 4.5" in diameter at the top, and it tapers down to about 1" at the bottom. The atomic metal accent pieces just below the cone each measure approx. 4" long. The shade measures approx. 10" tall x 16" wide x 10" deep. The round black metal base at the very bottom of the lamp is approx. 5.25" in diameter x 2" tall.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition. The cardboard cone shows light traces of wear. We aren't 100% certain, but it looks like it may have been repainted at one point in time by a previous owner - it can easily be repainted, or just left alone. The round black metal base at the very bottom of the lamp shows some oxidation along the top surface. Again, nothing bad given the age of the lamp, but it is being mentioned for accuracy. The shade appears to be in very nice shape - no dents, dings, breaks or repairs. The wiring is in great shape as well - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly encourage having the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
