ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage woodblock print by Japanese artist, Fumio Fujita. Circa '60s. Theme: Abstract, stylized birds (see photos). Colors: Multi-color. The print is framed in a wooden frame and is contained behind protective glass. The print is signed and dated ('65) in graphite by the artist beneath the matting (see photo), and it is marked "A/P" (artist proof).
MEASUREMENTS: Including the frame and matting, approx. 26" tall x 22" wide. The visible print, excluding the frame and matting, measures approx. 19" tall x 15" wide.
CONDITION: The print itself is in excellent shape - no rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, etc. The matting shows some discoloration in areas along the lower edge (see photos). The gold trim on the frame is coming up a little bit in the lower left-hand corner. The frame is structurally solid; it displays light traces of wear that are consistent with age and handling.
