ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super nice set of original vintage figural watercolor paintings done on a stock paper. Circa '50s. Theme: Hawaiian Dancers (Male and Female). Colors: Multi-color. Each is framed in its own black colored wooden frame (see photos). They are also both dated and initialed in graphite by the artist: JJS, 15 Sept. 1953 (again, please see photos). They're simply great, and will make a welcome addition to any interior setting. NOTE: Please pardon any reflections seen against the glass on the frames.
MEASUREMENTS: Including the frames, each measures approx. 20.25" tall x 16.75" wide. The visible image, excluding the frame and matting on each, measures approx. 14" tall x 10.5" wide.
CONDITION: Both paintings appear to be in very good condition - there are no rips, tears, stains, repairs, etc. There are some moisture marks on the lower areas of the matting (see photos). We have not taken the frames apart to investigate them any further. The paper lining on the reverse side of each frame shows rips and wear that are consistent with age and handling. Each frame has a wire hanging mechanism affixed to the back side for hanging / display purposes. They're ready to be enjoyed.
