$450.00
ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing vintage pottery lamp manufactured by Tye of California. Circa '50s. Colors: Coral with gold paint splatter throughout. The atomic fish design appearing on the base is done in black and white. Materials: Ceramic. The lamp is signed with the date (1954) and Tye of Cali. etched into the base on the back side where the electrical cord emerges from the base (see photo). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket. There is no shade present - just the base.
MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 27" tall x 5" wide x 5" deep. The distance from the bottom of the rounded base to the light socket is approx. 19.5" high. The pottery portion of the lamp is approx. 16.75" tall x 5" wide x 5" deep.
CONDITION: The lamp is in very good, all-original condition. The ceramic is free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The colors are nice and uniform throughout. There is a small area on the bottom edge of the base towards the back where there is some greenish discoloration - we believe it came from the felt that is attached to the underside of the base. We have not attempted to clean it any manner, so it may or may not come out - we leave that up to the purchaser to handle. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it's in great shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect before long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
