ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage mid century modern metal table lamp with accompanying double-tiered fiberglass shade. Circa '50s. Materials: Metal, Wire, Fiberglass. The base is black wire, and it forms a triangular-shape stand at the bottom. The double tiered fiberglass shade is beige with random black and gold arc designs applied to its outer surface throughout. The shade is a clip-on variety, and it attaches directly to the light bulb. Just by the socket there is a wing nut which allows one to angle the socket into a slightly different position (see photo). We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels, tags or signatures present. It's a great lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 16.25" tall x 10" wide x 10" deep. The distance from the base to the light socket is approx. 12.25" high. The double tiered fiberglass shade measures approx. 6.5" tall x 10" in diameter. The upper, smaller tier measures approx. 9" at the top opening, and it tapers down to 6" in diameter at the bottom of that tier. The lower tier is approx. 10" in diameter.
CONDITION: Both the lamp and shade are in very good condition. There is a little bit of black paint loss to the base, but nothing all the noticeable or objectionable. The base is free from rust, oxidation, breaks, bends, repairs, etc. The fiberglass shade is in excellent shape - no rips, hole, tears, creases, breaks, punctures, repairs, etc. The lacing is intact as well. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it is in good shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order, and is being sold "as-is" and "as-described". If you have questions, please ask them prior to purchasing and we will happily respond back to you.
