Vintage MCM 60s Brass Wood Floor Lamp Ceramic Shades Mid Century Modern Lighting

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a great vintage adjustable floor lamp that dates back to the 60s. The shades are ceramic. All are white on the outside, and each is designed to have a different color on the inside - one is turquoise, one is orange, and the last is red. When illuminated, each gives off a hue of the painted color on the interior of the shade. Each shade is capped off with a wooden finial at the very top. The lamp has an on/off rotary knob switch located on the central upright vertical column. It provides for 3-way functionality - one twist lights up one socket, a second twist lights up the remaining two independent of the first, and a third twist lights up all three at once. The shades are all adjustable at their attachment points (see photos), thus allowing for a myriad of possible configurations in position. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present. It's a very nice quality lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 65.25" tall. The three shades, including the wooden finials at the top, stretch approx. 13.5" tall. The wooden finials measure 4" tall. The ceramic shades are each 7.5" tall x 7" wide x 7 deep. The on/off switch is approx. 38" high (measured from the ground up). The sockets are set at slightly varied heights, one at 43" high, the next at 50" high, and the last at 56" high. The round brass base at the very bottom of the lamp is approx. 10.5" in diameter.

CONDITION: Very good condition. The ceramic shades are free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The only minor surface imperfection on one of the shades is there is color loss (see photo) - it can easily be repainted, or left alone. It doesn't particularly affect anything, so we chose to leave it as it was acquired. The brass base shows some faint discoloration, but not a deal-breaker. It is free from dents, dings, gouges, repairs, etc. The off-white wooden finials shows some faint surface color loss (see photos) - again, these can easily be touched up or left alone. Lastly, the attachment points for the shades can use a little tightening. The wiring is free from frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle sections. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. NOTE: This lamp is LARGE, and as such, it will be partially disassembled for shipping. The base will ship in one box, while the three ceramic shades will ship in a separate box. We also welcome local pick-up if you wish to forego the shipping - just inquire prior to purchase.
