ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage ceramic table lamp with its accompanying textile shade. Circa '60s. Materials: Ceramic, Wood. Color: Blue. The lamp base has horizontal stripes of varying shades of blue (see photos). The lamp has a beige textile shade that is of the clip-on variety - it attaches directly to the bulb. The cloth material is slightly textured, and there is a band of grayish-blue trim at the top and bottom (see photos). The lamp operates by a standard toggle switch that is located at the socket. We are uncertain as to the manufacturer - no labels, tags or signatures present. It's a wonderful lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 30" tall x 10" wide x 10" deep. The lamp stands approx. 23" tall (measured from the bottom of the round wooden base to the top of the bulb). The distance to the light socket is 19.5" high. The striped ceramic portion of the base measures 14.75" tall x 4.5" wide x 4.5" deep. The round wooden base is 5" in diameter. The cloth shade measures 13" tall x 9" in diameter (top) x 10" in diameter (bottom).
CONDITION: The lamp is in very good structural condition - there are no chips, crack, breaks, repairs, etc. to the ceramic material. The shade has no breaks, repairs, etc. - it's in nice shape with only minimal traces of wear that come with age and handling. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it's in very good shape - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle areas. The lamp has been tested, and it is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed electrician prior to long-term use.
