Vintage MCM Abstract Cubist Painting Portrait Woman Mid Century Modern Signed Elaine Small 70s Art

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice original vintage oil painting done on canvas board by Missouri artist, Elaine Small. Circa '70s. Title: "The Miner's Twin Daughters. Theme: Portrait done in an abstract / cubist manner. Colors: Multi-color. The painting is framed within a nice vintage wooden frame, and it is signed and dated ('76) by the artist along the top center of the canvas board. There is a wire hanging mechanism draped along the back surface of the frame. It's a wonderful painting that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: Including the wooden frame, approx. 28" tall x 22.5" wide. The canvas board alone, excluding the frame, measures approx. 24" tall x 19" wide.

CONDITION: The painting is in very good condition - aside from some gentle wear, the front of the canvas board is in good shape. The back side of the canvas board shows some old moisture marks that did not translate to the front side where the painting is (please see photos). The frame shows typical age-related wear. It could benefit from a fresh coat of paint, but does display fine as it is. We have not made any attempts to clean the frame. The canvas board is a little loose inside the frame, so it should be stabilized with a few points added to the back side. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described".
