Pair Vinage MCM Ceruse Wood Lamps Mid Century Modern Atomic Era Lighting 1950s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a pair of vintage cerused wooden table lamps. Circa '50s. Materials: Wood, Brass. Each lamp has an on/off toggle switch which is located at the socket. The lamps both have remnants of a yellow UL label on the round wooden bases (see photos). We are uncertain as to the maker of these beauties, but they are quite wonderful. No shades present - it'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shades.

MEASUREMENTS: Each lamp stands approx. 25" tall x 7.5" wide x 7.5" deep. The lamp stands approx. 17.75" tall (measured from the bottom of the round wooden base to the top of the socket). The crescent-shaped wooden accents each measure approx. 11.5" tall x 2" thick (top) x 1.5" thick (bottom). The round wooden base is 7.5" in diameter.

CONDITION: Both lamps are in good condition. They have light surface wear commensurate with age and handling (see photos). One of the lamps has a slight tilt to it. It can be remedied by with a little finesse by making a manual adjustment - we just chose to leave it how it was acquired (see photos). There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The brass components have some spotty tarnishing - we have not attempted to clean / polish the lamps in any manner (again, please see photos). The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it's in very good shape - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle areas. The lamps have been tested, and they are in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having the wiring inspected by a licensed electrician prior to long-term use.
