ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a RARE atomic era bowtie clock that was manufactured by SNIDER (Canada). Circa '60s. The clock features a LANSHIRE motor, and the interior is encased by fiberglass material which diffuses the light from the two sockets that are located on either side of the motor (see photos). The clock body is constructed out of metal, and it rests atop a tripod base (again, see photos). The wiring on the clock needs to be updated. It has not been tested. The cardboard panel on the back side of the clock contains a stamp with the Snider information.
MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 7" tall x 12.25" wide x 5.25" deep (which includes the feet).
CONDITION: The clock is in decent condition, but not perfect. First off, the metal panel on the top of the clock has some bends on each side. With a little time and patience, these can probably be finessed back into shape. We didn't both messing with it, and just figured we'd leave that up to the next owner to handle (see photos). Next, the hands on the clock show color / paint loss. An easy fix, or just leave it as it is. There is no second hand. The cardboard panel on the back, while mostly intact, is somewhat tattered. There's a small section missing, some separations, and some old moisture damage (again, see photos). The fiberglass inserts on the inside are in great shape - no burns, rips, tears, etc... just a little dust here and there. As mentioned above, the wiring needs to be replaced - for this reason, the clock has not been tested. It's a sharp looking clock, that with a little restoration, it will become a focal point of conversation wherever it ends up. It is being sold "as-is", and "as-described". We encourage questions prior to purchasing, and we will respond back in a timely manner. All sales are final. Thanks for looking, and please bid with confidence!
