ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage ceramic pottery table lamp designed by Aldo Londi for Bitossi (Italy) as part of the Milano Moderna series. Circa '60s. Materials: Ceramic, Pottery. Colors: Green, Yellow, Brown and Orange. The surface is the pottery is textured as can be seen from the accompanying photos. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket for functionality. The harp is unique in that it is adjustable depending on the size shade one uses - it is held at the desired height by tightening two screws (see photos). The lamp does not appear to be signed. The felt on the underside of the base is partially lifted to reveal the numbers "7332" inscribed in the bottom of the base (see photos). There is no shade present - it'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shade. It's a ver stylish lamp that'll look fantastic in any setting.
MEASUREMENTS: To the top of the finial when the harp is fully extended, the lamp measures approx. 30" tall. When the harp is lowered to its lowest height, the lamp stands approx. 27" tall to the top of the finial. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 19" high. The pottery base alone measures approx. 15" tall x 6" wide x 6" deep.
CONDITION: Very good condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is a little bit of the green paint in the form of a small splotch that is exposed at the top of the pottery base. Clearly a simple flaw from the manufacturing process - it isn't damage. The electrical wiring and socket is free from issues - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas on the wire, etc. We always strongly recommend having a licensed professional check the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition as it is. The lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we encourage you to ask them prior to purchase, and we usually can respond back to you within a short amount of time.
NOTE: The harp will be removed for safety during shipping, so it will have to be reattached once it reaches its destination.
