Rare Vintage Drummer Pink Chalkware Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century MCM 1950s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage chalkware lamp with its original accompanying fiberglass shade depicting a marching band leader banging on a drum. Circa '50s. Materials: Chalkware, Fiberglass. Colors: Pink, Beige, Gold. The fiberglass shade clips directly onto the lightbulb. The front and back panels of the shade are a beige color, while the perimeter of the shade is beige with gold and white dots of varying sizes. The side of the base is marked: Copyright 1957, Flair Giftwares, Pat. Applied For (see photos). The lamp has a push button switch embedded into the base which is used to turn the lamp on/off. All in all, it's a wonderful lamp that is suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: With the round fiberglass drum shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 14" tall x 4.5" deep x 11" wide. The shade measures approx. 7" in diameter x 3.75" deep. The rectangular base measures approx. 7" wide x 4.5" deep x 1.25" tall.

CONDITION: Very good condition. The chalkware is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There are a few tiny spots on the top surface of the base where there is pink color loss, but very minor (see photos). The fiberglass shade has a few blemishes - we have not made any attempts to clean it - it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it's in good shape with no issues to report - no frays, splits, exposed / brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
