ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage "eyeball" floor lamp designed by Robert Sonneman. Circa '70s. Materials: Metal, Chrome. Color: White. The lamp features a round shade that is an extension from the vertical upright cylindrical rod that connects to the base. The shade has two chrome dials on either side of the shade that hold it's position - by loosening them, you are able to change the position of the shade. The lamp has an on/off rotary switch located along the top surface of the shade (see photo). There is an original Sonneman sticker label attached to the bottom of the vertical cylinder just above the round base. It's a great lamp that's suitable for all interior settings,
MEASUREMENTS: With the shade positioned in the downward orientation, the lamp stands approx. 55" tall x 14" wide. The short tubular extension piece the connects the round shade to the vertical cylinder that leads to the base is approx. 5.5" in length. The round shade measures approx. 8" round. The round white base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 9.75" in diameter.
CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in good condition for its age. There is some scattered paint loss here and there, but nothing that can't be easily touched up, if desired (see photos). The shade does not have any dents or dings. The chrome brace that surrounds the shade does show some signs of scratchy tarnishing, but again, nothing objectionable given the age of the lamp. The round base at the bottom of the lamp has what looks like an old scratch that a previous owner touched up at one point in time (see photos). We have not attempted to clean or polish the lamp in any manner - it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it's in good shape with no issues to report - no frays, splits, exposed / brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - please ask any questions that you may have, and we will respond back to you in timely manner.
