ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage watercolor painting done on textured paper by renowned St. Louis artist, Brother Mel Meyer. This painting, along with a few others that we will be listing, was gifted by Brother Mel to the family we acquired them from - they were apparently friends. We were told they were all done during his watercolor phase which supposedly pre-dated his more abstract sculptural period. The subject matter is architectural / landscape. Colors: Multi-color. The painting is framed behind protective glass in a simple wooden frame, and there is a beige colored matting surrounding the artwork. This painting has a visible signature in the lower right-hand corner (see photos). There is a wire hanging mechanism draped across the back side of the frame for easy hanging and display purposes.
MEASUREMENTS: Including the frame, approx. 21" tall x 24.5" wide. The visible artwork alone, excluding the matting and frame, measures approx. 14.5" tall x 18" wide.
CONDITION: The artwork is in very good shape - there are no rips, holes, tears, creases, repairs, etc. - just a little light wear that is commensurate with age and handling. Displays well, and is ready to be enjoyed in a new home.
