Vintage MCM Ribbon Scroll Stone Plaster Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting 60s

$225.00

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage plaster table lamp. Circa '50s / '60s. The lamp features a scroll like design that has a textured appearance to make it look like stone (see photos). The color of the scrolled area is a mauve color atop a pyramidal black base. The lamp features an on/off toggle switch for functionality at the socket. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present. This lamp base does not come with a shade - it will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shade. It's a great lamp that's suitable for all interior settings.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 31.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial) x 6.25" wide (measured at the base) x 6.5" deep. The light socket is 20.75" up from the bottom of the base. The decorative scroll like portion of the base is approx. 15.5" tall x 5.25" wide x 4.75" deep.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition. There is one small area along the back side of the lamp just above the base where it looks like there was a small repair (see photos). We aren't certain if this is a manufacturing flaw, or if it was actual damage. We do not see any residual traces of adhesive in the area, so we're leaning more towards it being a flaw that occured during the production of the lamp. Aside from that, just some light traces of wear that are consistent with age and handling. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed / brittle areas. It is in working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
