Vintage MCM Kron Comedy Tragedy Mask Ceramic Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting AS-IS

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage comedy / tragedy ceramic lamp that was designed by Gunter Kron. Circa '50s. Theme: Comedy / Tragedy Masks. Materials: Ceramic. Colors: Turquoise with raised textured gold and white accents throughout. This tv lamp is signed by Gunter Kron along the back side of the lamp close to the light socket (see photo). Sadly, this lamp has seen better days, but still displays nicely from the front - it is being sold as-is for proper restoration.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 13.25" tall x 10" wide x 4" deep.

CONDITION: Fair condition. As can be seen from the photos, this lamp, albeit rare, has seen better days (hence the tragedy part). There are several breaks / fractures towards the upper part of the masks (see photos). They been repaired; however, they could be made to look better. This would be a great restoration project from someone who has the skills and time to get it done right. A few of these repairs can be seen from the front (ie. on the tragedy mask), but when viewing from a distance, it isn't too glaring. It is more seen from the back side of the lamp (please examine all photos carefully). There are a few tiny chips to the ceramic which can be seen from the back side (we've included close-up photos for your reference). There is also another chip to the top corner of the tragedy mask that the previous owner masked by color-matching the paint on the ceramic (again, please see photo). The lamp needs to be rewired and should be inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
